Fantygen MCP server

The quickest way: let your assistant set it up

Copy this text and paste it into Claude Code, Copilot, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor or Gemini CLI. It adds the server, then tells you how to sign in.

Set up the Fantygen MCP server for me.

Server name: fantygen

1. Work out which assistant you are and add the server the way it expects. Keep everything already in these files.
   - Claude Code: run  claude mcp add --transport http --scope user fantygen https://app.fantygen.com/mcp
   - VS Code / GitHub Copilot: in .vscode/mcp.json add "fantygen": { "type": "http", "url": "https://app.fantygen.com/mcp" } under "servers"

2. Tell me exactly how to finish: a browser window opens, I sign in to Fantygen and press Allow. In Claude Code that is /mcp, then fantygen. If the tools only appear after a restart, tell me.
3. When I say I am signed in, call the fantygen whoami tool and tell me my plan and credits.

From then on: always call quote and tell me the price before generate, and never spend credits I have not agreed to.

How it works

1. 01

   Add the server

   Add the URL to your assistant with one of the snippets below.

2. 02

   Sign in

   A browser window opens. Sign in to Fantygen and choose what the assistant may do.

3. 03

   Ask

   Ask in plain words: a hero image, a 9:16 product video, a voiceover. The assistant prices it first, then generates and downloads the file.

Credits and safety

• ✓Every paid action needs the price the assistant was quoted. If the price changed, nothing runs.
• ✓Your plan's limits apply exactly as in the app: models, resolution, parallel jobs, export minutes.
• ✓Choose Read only when you connect, and the assistant can look and download but never spend.
• ✓See each connected app, its last use and its spending in Developer tools, and revoke it with one click.
• ✓Download links last one hour; upload links work once, for 15 minutes.

Troubleshooting

The browser window did not open

Copy the sign-in link your assistant prints and open it yourself, or connect with an API key.

"needs an active plan"

MCP works on every paid plan. Choose one under Plan & billing, then try again.

"does not have the generate permission"

You connected with Read only. Revoke the connection in Developer tools and connect again with Generate.

The connection stopped working

It may have been revoked or the sign-in expired. Remove the server in your assistant, add it again and sign in.
